Quick Update

Things have been pretty quiet the past couple of weeks, and by quiet I mean that we haven't traveled. It has been nice to be home for several weeks in a row, I felt like that wasn't happening very regularly. Annabelle continues to learn new things each day, her new favorite thing is screeching. She puts all her energy into it and lets out a huge screeching scream. She thinks it's hilarious. James had a great Father's Day this past weekend. We went to church (and of course Annabelle had to show all the church goers her screeching), went out to brunch, and just had a nice day hanging with the family. The night before Father's day we had a babysitter come watch Annabelle for several hours so James and I could go out to watch our friend perform (dancing) and then go out for some drinks. It was great night and the babysitter said that Annabelle was an "angel." James has been pretty busy with work and school so a lot of time is spent with Annabelle and I. I love it, but of course it can get tiresome at times, but I have lots of fun things to look forward too in the next couple of months so that helps. Well Annabelle just woke up from her nap so I am off.

Five Months!

I can't believe I am five month's old, time sure does fly! I have grown a lot this past month and continue to learn new things. Each day I am more interactive, especially with my parents. A big smile comes on my face whenever one of them walks in the room. I have continued to talk and even learned how to scream, I like hearing how high my voice can get. I did roll over once, the day before my five month birthday, but I haven't since. My parents keep putting me on my belly and cheering me on, but I just don't feel like it, I will roll again when I am ready. I also started eating "solid" food. I am not quite sure what to do with it, so most of the time I just spit it out, but I think I am starting to like this "spoon" thing. My hair has started to grow a little more, but it looks more like a fuzz ball than anything else. My Mom keeps talking about wanting to put pony tails in, whatever that is. My new favorite toy is my pig that hangs on my car seat. I figured out that if you pull one of his legs he plays music, so cool! I keep myself entertained with that a lot and never get sick of listening to the same songs. This month was great and I love discovering new things and watching myself grow each day!

Another Trip to Ouray, CO

James had to travel for work again, so we took an extra couple of days before heading to his work site and stopped in Ouray, Colorado. The weather was gorgeous and fun was definitely had. We took our first "hike" with Annabelle. We debated on whether we should bring the BOB stroller or use the backpack, but since it was time for a nap, we figured the BOB stroller would work. James picked out a trail that we believed was BOB friendly. 30 minutes into the hike we realized the trail quickly turned NOT BOB friendly! It's alright, we still had fun and had some time to get some good family pictures.

After a couple of days in Ouray, we headed to Durango, CO where James' work project is. That was a great week too. But after being away for 8 days, we were both glad to get home and Annabelle was glad to be sleeping in her own crib. Check out all the pictures under the Ouray picture file.
